Welcome to Adventure Skate Skiing

Adventure Skate Skiing (ASS) is skate skiing in non-traditional areas. These include snowmobile tracks and wind-crusted meadows. This guide emphasizes ASS skiing on groomed snowmobile trails. These trails provide an alternative to the goldfish syndrome, i.e., skiing in multiple loops around the same (short) trails.

ASS offers challenging terrain, breathtaking mountain scenery, and unparalleled solitude –– as long as you obey ASS Rule #1 (see the Introduction). Check it out and head for the hills.
